It is the opposite of the tundra ecosystem but still harsh as they live in a hot climate.
Tundra usually has a simple ecosystem because of the limited amount of life that can be supported.
The Freshwater Ecosystem:-
The freshwater ecosystem is the smallest amount of three other ecosystems.
They include certain bird that hunts for fish and some insect close to the ocean surface

Biotic components can be classified into 3 categories
Producer:- They include all autotrophs. They synthesize food for their own. Forex;- plant, green algae.
Consumer:- They include heterotrophs that directly or indirectly depend on the producer for food.
Consumer are divided into three types:-
Herbivores:- Herbivores are those animals who eat grass.
Carnivores:- Carnivores are those who eat the flesh of another animal.
Omnivores:- Omnivores are those who eat both plants and the flesh of another animal.
Parasite:- Parasites is an organism that lives on or in a host and gets its food from or at the expense of its host. The parasite can cause disease in humans.
They include saprophytes which act on the dead and decaying matter for their nutrition.
Examples of Decomposers:-
Mushroom:- A type of fungi that grows out of the ground.
Earthworm:- Type of shredders that eat and digest detritus.
Abiotic components include all non-living components. Abiotic components are none living chemical and physical parts of the environment that affect living organisms.
Function of Ecosystem
It regulates the essential ecological process and supports the life system
It is responsible for the cycling of nutrient between biotic and abiotic component
It maintains a balance between the various tropical level in an ecosystem
It cycles the mineral through the biosphere.
The abiotic component help in synthesizes of organic component that involves the exchange of energy.

The food chain is a series of organisms that eat one another. It shows the flow of energy from one organism to another.

It passes from dead organic matter to microorganisms and then denies feeding organism detritivores and their predators
